Non-residents of Ukraine feel certain obstacles during filing the documents to the universities. The citizen of Georgia in Cherkasy can’t file the documents because of absent patronymic; hence the Georgians have only names and surnames.

Luhansk regional organization “CN OPORA” maintained the monitoring of the activity of Luhansk city major and Luhansk city council since their election to May 2011.

The admission board of the Kyiv National Shevchenko University invited the observer from the civil network “OPORA” to watch over all parts of the creative contest for future journalists. On one hand, such initiative proved the eagerness of the authorities for sound communication. On the other hand, it helps the community to find out the problems in the admission campaign organization and offer some solutions.

On July, 22nd Mykhaylo Shelep, the delegate of Civil network “OPORA” in Volyn region, presented for local journalists the conclusions of implementation of Campaign of public monitoring of the local self-government bodies in Luts’k.

This year the Ministry of Education, science, youth and sports actively promotes the system “Electronic admission 2011” for the graduates to file all the applications to the universities via internet. Although this is the progressive system, but it was offered to the graduates and the admission boards of the universities in somewhat raw condition.

New educational draft laws have become strong concern of the educational community and the interested public. Hence education is one of the key fields of concern of the fund “Europe XXI”, we decided to communicate about the law legislation with Olha Ajvazovs’ka, the Chairman of the management board of the Civil network “OPORA”.

The graduates who had their ID information changed in between passing of the tests and passing of the documents to the university, mow have to get the proof of the testing certificate, as Kherson organization of the civil network “OPORA” claimed referring to the letter of the deputy minister of education to the deans of the universities.

The CN “OPORA” appeals to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the Ukrainian Center of Evaluation of Education with a strong request to refute the false information about the number of absent entrants during the testing and the amount of state budget losses associated with ignoring the test in 2011.
