In September, 5 Candidates Conduct the Most Active Election Campaign in Constituency No. 184 – OPORA

The voter turnout in this district is almost 78%, according to the processed protocols. Yurii Odarchenko (nominated by the AUU Batkivshchyna) wins with 21.6%, less than 1% ahead of Oleksandr Spivakovskyi (nominate by the Petro Poroshenko Block) with 20.9%. Such small difference in voting results caused controversy between candidates and their teams, and a scandal in the district commission.

Today, candidates are trying to find new ways of attracting public attention, and use social networks for that.

  In Kherson oblast billboards containing hidden agitation in favor of the candidates for the President were noticed. At the same time candidates for the city Mayor resort to more "technological" means of hidden agitation:the voters receive SMS, in which they are encouraged to vote for a certain candidate for city mayor.  

The location of ballots of the electoral district No.185 is unknown! Members of DEC No.185 state that they have already handed them over to the archive but have no supporting documents of it.

Pensioners residing in Komsomolskyi Raion of the city of Kherson and Bilozerskyi Raion of Kherson Oblast informed the activists of the Civil Network OPORA that on 26 October, they received a document resembling a letter of Head of Department for Pension Fund in Kherson Oblast, deputy of Kherson City Council of the Party of Regions — Z. Lazarieva.  The document bears neither the Department's seal nor the signature of Ms Lazarieva, and is an example of smear.

According to activists of the Civil Network OPORA, today, on 21 October at 2pm, in Kherson District Administrative Court, the administrative claim of Kherson Regional Campaign Headquarters of the United Opposition Fatherland will be considered, with the demand to oblige Head of Kherson Oblast State Administration Mykola Mykhailovych Kostiak to refrain from participation in election campaigning during working hours and separately determine a judgement on holding M.M. Kostiak administratively...

On 28 August activists of the Civil Network OPORA received a call from a member of the DEC #186 (Tsiuriupynsk city) Shpachynska Nina Vasylivna (Our Ukraine - People's Self Defense). She informed: "Haiavan Eleonora Oleksandrivna (Green Planet Party), the deputy Head of the  DEC, called me today and notified about a meeting of election commission which is to be held on 29 of August, on which members of the DEC shall take the oath.

CPU (the Communist Party of Ukraine) leader Petro Symonenko held a meeting with voters on 18 July in Kherson. OPORA representatives discovered that predominantly students and pensioners from Novorontsovsk rayon of Kherson oblast were present on the square in front of administrative building of Oblast state administration.

A potential candidate Oleksii Zhuravko presented police with 5 cars, one patrol car, and a video camera to the press center.
