For already two years of the observation of the Ukrainian language and literature testing there are constant problems with the testing certificates of the participants.

CN OPORA claims that it hasn’t any connection to the dweller of Donetsk Kostyantyn Lavrov, who was detained yesterday by the law enforcement cervice and incriminated the extortion of  USD 7000 for stopping the protests connected with the dismanting of the building of  “Druzhba” hotel.

On June, 14th the press conference of CN “OPORA” called “The Equator of the testing: hot spots of the EIT-2011” took place.

The CN OPORA implements the campaign of the monitoring for EIT in 12 regions. The organization registered 463 observers. The coverage ranged from 25 to 75% and the most attention was focused on the most popular tests. The reports from observers were promptly sent via SMS in the encrypted way just after the testing finished, that gives a possibility of immediate receiving and checking of rhe data on problems, violations and incidents on the tesing points.

During two sessions of EIT in Ukrainian language and literature (on June, 2 and 3) the observers of CN OPORA registered some cases when the graduates couldn’t use their right for higher education despite the fact that they came to the testing point. Such graduates most often forgot the EIT certificate or didn’t have it at all.

Today the school-leavers passed the foreign language test. We remind that the complicated English tests forced the graduates of Drohobych to go on the streets and demand the revision of the test tasks. So, the attention to the foreign language tests was the most alert this year.  

During the second IET session for Ukrainian language and literature (June 2-3), the OPORA observers found out multiple cases when the graduates couldn’t participate in EIT because of absence of the certificates.

On June 2 and 3 was the biggest EIT on Ukrainian language and literature. 223 161 participants appeared on the testing points, the average attendance during two days is 88,98%. The number of participants comparing with 2010 is 200 000 less, that is connected both with little number of graduates and the admission of the EIT certificates for 2008-2010. The OPORA observers underline the decent organization level for testing and merely coordinated work of staff. Activists worked on 75% of testing...
