Top priority efforts of Civil Network OPORA All-Ukrainian NGO include monitoring and analysis of election processes in Ukraine.

On 27–28 March 2016, Civil Network OPORA opens a public press-center to cover the course of voting and vote count in early election of Kryvyi Rih city mayor.

Today, on 3 March, Kryvyi Rih City Election Commission has stopped registration of candidates for Kryvyi Rih City Mayor. Thus, City Election Commission has registered 15 candidates including 10 self-nominated and 5 representatives of political parties (Samopomich Union, Ukrainian Union of Patriots – UKROP, Narodnyi Kontrol Civic Movement political party, Serhii Kaplin's Party of Simple People, and Syla Liudei). There are 4 women and 11 men. Two nominees were rejected.

On 11 March, 11:00 AM in Crystal Hall of the Hotel Kyiv (26/1 Hrushevskoho St., Kyiv city) OPORA is holding a public discussion titled “Reform of the Parliamentary Election Law Becomes Topical”.

Implementation of laws regulating access to public information has a direct influence on accountability and transparency of public authorities. Moreover, access to public information constitutes Constitutional rights and liberties of Ukrainian citizens.

Today, Ukraine is expected to achieve the certain progress in the reforming process, and display the accountability for promises made by state authorities to Ukrainian society and international partners. Of course, the Government and Parliament can't realize everything in a short period of time, but the window for reforms is about to close, unfortunately. There are a few reasons for that: Parliamentary political crisis, unstable work of the Coalition, and low level of trust in the Government ...

Representative of political parties that are planning to participate in early election of Kryvyi Rih city mayor, or to work in headquarters of a candidate; political actors not working in the third sector; tourists, cannot apply for participation in the event.
