On September 5, Facebook community "Typical Dniprodzerzhynsk" published a post about possible fraud with citizens changing their election addresses. Allegedly, residents of close villages are being brought to the State Register of Voters in Kamianske so that they can change their electoral address and vote in the city.

The election campaign in Donetsk oblast has began early. In August and early September, OPORA recorded early campaigning realized by potential participants in the election process: gifts, meetings with voters, billboards, holidays. Monitoring of Facebook's political advertising in August confirms that elections are very close. The unofficial election campaign of 2020 local elections has already started on social networks. For example, pages of six political parties at once are in the top ten largest advertisers of the month for the first time in 2020.
