Everyone who wanted is in. On 20 June, the CEC has finished receiving registration documents from everyone willing to become a Member of Parliament of the 9thconvocation. While the CEC is officially registering the candidates during these few days, let’s talk about those lucky ones, who were included in so much desired party lists. Unlike candidates in single-mandate constituencies, they don’t have to visit districts, organize campaigning, and even promote themselves – everything has been already set up. People vote for the party, and they get into the Parliament. How these lists are been compiled? Which merits are weighty when a party decides on the sequence of candidates in its party list? Who approves the final list? Which surnames will we see in the ballot on this election?
All these topics are covered in our fresh episode of the program Elections Inside Out.
