Civil Network OPORA continues informing you about observation results of MPs' constituency activities. OPORA's observers pay special attention to activities of MPs in their constituencies, personal reception of citizens, and results of problem-solving in their districts. We would like to present you a survey of the work done by three majoritarian MPs in Lviv oblast: Oksana Yurynets (SMD #117, Petro Poroshenko Block faction), Bohdan Dubnevych (SMD #118, Petro Poroshenko Block faction), and Volodymyr Parasiuk (SMD #122, non-faction) in July 2015.
As long as Oksana Yurynets was in United States of America in June 2015, she came to the district only on the last week of the month. During this week, the MP was actively communicating with the voters and local authorities, took part in expert discussions (including discussion of the draft law on local elections), and initiated 30 parliamentary inquiries. Bohdan Dubnevych visited the district from time to time, similarly to the previous months, and stayed in touch with the voters. While participating in opening of repaired rural medical stations or demonstration of other works done by the Dubnevychis Brothers Fund, the MP had reception hours for citizen consultation. However, the MP has provided less information about his activities in the Parliament if compared to the previous month. His assistants have sent 130 parliamentary inquiries to various institutions in June. (You can find detailed information about the SMD #118 at: rada.oporaua.org)
In June 2015, Volodymyr Parasiuk started communicating more actively with the voters in Lviv oblast through meetings. Besides that, a special Facebook page was created titled "Citizen Reception of Volodymyr Parasiuk", where his assistants announce MP's visits to the district, and publish information about results of meetings with voters. In order to inspect transparency of village councils in Zhovkva and Yavoriv raions, the MP has filed requests for information to all village councils asking about salaries, bonuses and rises in wages paid to staffers.
