Civil Network OPORA continues informing you about observation results of MPs' constituency activities. OPORA's observers are mostly focused on adherence to Law requirements concerning personal reception of citizens, their work in the district, functioning of receptions etc.

We would like to present you a survey of the work done by three majoritarian MPs in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast: Yurii Derevianko (SMD #87), Yurii Tymoshenko (SMD #88) and Yurii Solovei (SMD # 89).

Despite MP Yurii Derevianko has paid only one visit to his election district and hasn't had any personal reception hours, his activities in the district is quite noticeable, as long as his assistants stay in touch with the voters through reception offices, various public events and community meetings. MP's press-service regularly provides information about activities of Yurii Derevianko through his website and local media. We can say that MP's activities in the district are quite systematical, as long as he has 5 public receptions, which have received more than one and a half thousand voters and processed 1,258 appeals since Derevianko became an MP. According to the observation results and information received in the reception office, Yurii Tymoshenko used parliamentary inquiries to solve problems in his constituency. Some parliamentary inquiries and consideration results are available on his Facebook page. There are no reasons to say that the MP is ignoring his constituency, as long as Yurii Tymoshenko visits his election district, has scheduled reception hours, and his assistants are systematically receiving the voters in city receptions of Kolomyia and Horodenka, and processing their appeals. Yurii Solovei has visited the election district in May to discover problems local communities have. He had reception hours (not on days scheduled by the Parliament to work in constituencies) and was appearing on local media. Local media were regularly publishing information about his activities in the district and in Parliament, as well as bout his opinion on the processes happening in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Thanks to permanent public receptions (one in each raion center of the district) and assistants, Yurii Solovei keeps communicating with the voters. The MP uses his personal Facebook page to provide information about his activities and initiatives related to solution of local issues. The subjects of his law-making activities do not reflect specific problems that are present in the district. However, the MP addressed such problems through parliamentary inquiries.
