The four voters from Donetsk city came under the fire from Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) militants. The incident was reported to the observers of the joint monitoring campaign of DOO of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine and Civil Network OPORA by the Donetsk city inhabitants.
“My friends and I have decided to vote at the election and went to the polling station were we usually vote. It is located in the School #114 in Petrivskyi district of the city of Donetsk” – says an inhabitant of the city. – “When we came there, there was a man standing at the entrance, whom we asked if we could vote there. He said “We’ll sort this out right away” and entered the school building. After that an automatic gun fire was opened at us from the building, we have barely escaped cause we got to the car just in time”.
The inhabitant of Donetsk city, who reported this information to the observers, told he did not know that no polling stations were open in the city.
Reminder: There were no open polling stations in Donetsk, Makiivka, Horlivka, Ienakiieve, Shahtarsk, and a number of other cities of Donetsk oblast, since these territories are temporarily occupied by the illegal militant groups.
