Two Days before Parliamentary Elections: Situation in Donbas, Threats of Electoral Fraud
and Preliminary Results of OPORA's Observation
On 24 October 2014, at 11:30 am, the press-conference titled will be held by the Civil Network OPORA in the UNIAN Information Agency (4 Khreshatyk St., Kyiv). Experts will compare the course of this year parliamentary election campaign to elections in 2012 and 2007; analyze the influence of voter bribery and misuse of administrative resource on possible election outcome; explain the parallel vote tabulation (PVT), which will allow OPORA to publish the results of voting in the nationwide district yet on Monday morning.
Moreover, experts will inform about the readiness of polling stations to conduct the voting process, particularly in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and announce the prediction on the course of the Election Day. The comparison of 2014 parliamentary election campaign to elections in 2012 and 2007, influence of the voter bribery and administrative resource on possible election outcome, the most widespread violations, civic monitoring of more than 2,000 observers deployed by OPORA, preliminary results of information and awareness campaign, features of the parallel vote tabulation (PVT) – all these issues will be covered by:
