On 30 April 2014, at 11:30 AM in the UNIAN Information Agency (4 Khreshatyk St.), the press-conference titled "Interim summary of observation conducted by OPORA: safety and guarantees of free elections" will be held by the Civil Network OPORA. During the event, Parliamentary and Electoral Programs Coordinator of the Civil Network OPORA Olha Aivazovska will present the interim report on the summary of election monitoring campaign in April, and tell about main tendencies in this year's race, as well as hazards for the preparation and conduct of the elections on the certain territories.

Registration of presidential candidates has ended in late March, and the active stage of electoral process has started. However, the external threat has already become a destabilizing factor for the preparation and conduct of election campaign in Ukraine. Besides that, some candidates have directly or indirectly affirmed that the elections can be disrupted. In addition, there is a problem with securing electoral rights of citizens living on occupied territories of the AR Crimea and Sevastopol, and in some settlements of eastern Ukrainian oblasts, where "separatist movements" have stirred to activity. Parliamentary and Electoral Programs Coordinator of the Civil Network OPORA Olha Aivazovska will also tell about the permanent change of membership of district election commissions, activeness of candidates, peculiarities of campaigning in the regions, and possible hazards and ways to minimize disruption of the elections in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Journalist registration is conducted on-the-spot by press accreditations.
