On polling station #321282 in Vasylkiv (Kyiv oblast), OPORA observers were confined to stay in a strictly defined part of polling station, what limits their right for observation.
When explaining their requirements, members of precinct polling station state that, allegedly, observers are physically hampering them to do their work. However, OPORA activists are calmly and properly observing the issuance of ballots and other procedures. Unjustified demands of PEC members render qualitative observation impossible.
At the same time, on the polling station #321281 commission passed a decision which prohibits observers from "standing behind members of precinct election commission". Document of the decision doesn't contain any reference data, as well as the date of its adoption.
OPORA states, that restriction of observer's rights doesn't correspond to the effective legislation and electoral standards.
We remind that this morning OPORA observer was hindered from entering the PEC meeting.
