In the last days before the elections, state bodies were attracted to the campaign in support of pro-power candidate in Zhyromyr city (single-member district #62)
OPORA observer in Zhytomyr city has recorded a video on which employees of the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine (MEU) on fire ladder were placing an advertising banner on multistory building next to the drama theater on Sobornyi square. The picture of Serhii Ryzhuk, an MP candidate from the Party of Regions and a head of oblast state administration, was placed on the banner.
Today the delivery of periodicals for Zhyomyr subscribers was delayed for more that two hours. According to the information provided to OPORA in the central post office of Zhytomyr, the delivery was delayed because of additional newspapers, in particular, special issues to oblast weekly papers "Ekho" and "Vashi interesy". Both special issues were printed by the order of oblast election headquarters of the Party of Regions in circulation of 100,200 copies. Special issues were delivered not only to those who subscribe weekly papers "Ekho" and "Vashi interesy", but also to those people who subscribe the other periodicals. Besides campaign materials in support of an MP candidate Serhii Ryzhuk, both special editions included materials, discrediting his main competitor Hennadii Zubko, a candidate from the United Opposition.
