Public discussion between candidates for CEC members

Public discussion between candidates for members of the Central Election Commission, submitted by the President of Ukraine, will be held on 23 September in the Parus Business Center (2 Mechnykova St., Kyiv city). Beginning at 11:00.

The discussion is goaled to draw attention of the public and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to a pressing need to legitimately appoint 12 of 15 CEC members, as well as to urge the deputy corps to urgently consider submission of the President of Ukraine.

Формат: Each CEC candidate will present a short speech on top-priority directions for CEC reforming, restoration of public confidence in the CEC and improvement of election administration, and answer questions from the audience.

Moderator: Vitalii Portnikov.

Event organizers: Civil Network OPORA, Council of Europe Office in Ukraine.

We invite MPs of Ukraine, representatives of expert and civic organizations, scientists and journalists to participate.
