The opposition is blocking the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada for the second day. The reason – is a claim on deprivation of the Fatherland faction member Serhiy Vlasenko of parliamentary mandate.
"We have informed our opponents that we will start working when they are be ready, because the Rada should function", the Head of the Party of Regions Oleksandr Yefremov said. He has also informed, that leaders of factions haven't agreed on the time of consultations regarding unblocking of the rostrum.
According to Yefremov, the Party of Regions is not going to unblock the rostrum by the use of force, because it "doesn't want to conduct a circus performance". Still, the Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak has informed yesterday that the parliamentary majority is thinking of unblocking the parliament by using force.
The opposition is not going to yield its position until the government stops political repressions against the defender of Yuliia Tymoshenko, Serhii Vlasenko. "No one can be deprived of a mandate by the Resolution of the HAC. The procedure is the following: the Court passes the Resolution, and MPs are taking the final decision by the majority of votes in the Verkhovna Rada", – Mykota Tomenko sated, emphasizing, that the decision is politically motivated.
"It's the demonstrative position of the Administration of the President of Ukraine, it's a threat to every opposition MP, that they can deprive anyone of mandate and throw in prison, – Oleksandr Turchynov, a member of the All-Ukrainian Union Fatherland said – we will continue blocking the rostrum until our demands are met."
The opposition demands redistribution of seats in the Committee on Rules of Parliamentary Procedure and resignation of its Head, Volodymyr Makeienko. "We have to make the majority to include more representatives of the opposition to the Committee membership. We demand that the Committee on Rules of Parliamentary Procedure was formed on a par and, undoubtedly, the leadership shall be new", - Turchynov stated.
However, on the end of working day, opposition MPs have left the rostrum and are not going to stay for a night. It's the second day the Verkhovna Rada cannot open the plenary sitting in accordance with the regulations.
