On 12 March, Civil Network OPORA started to receive information from voters about phone calls from unknown persons, who introduced themselves as OPORA, asked about electoral preferences, and threatened with punishment in case of electoral violations.

Almost 65 thousand voters have used the procedure for a temporary change of voting location. Most of them are registered in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk oblasts and the city of Kyiv. There is still time to do this before 25 March inclusive, and State Voter Register maintenance bodies are open on weekends.

In the period from June 2018 to January 2019 Civil Network OPORA’s observers recorded 1506 cases of using publicly-funded events for the purpose of indirect campaigning in favor of people’s deputies and political parties. The Central Election Commission withdrew candidate for the President of Ukraine Serhii Kryvonis. The CEC passed the corresponding resolution on 7 November meeting.

How to learn whether you are not left out at your election precinct? How to vote if you are planning to be far from home on an election day? Do you need to cancel your trip abroad, if it occurs on the election day and you really want to vote? And, finally, what may happen, if you choose not to vote?

One of the key types of abuse with damaging consequences for transparency and competitiveness of electoral process is the budget administrative resource. It denotes the use of public funds and means in favour of certain parties or candidates. In fact, such actions can often take place with no formal breaking of the legally established requirements.
