On 21 July, 2012 during the II Congress of Cherkasy oblast organization of the UDAR party of Vitaliy Klychko (the Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reforms) its representatives finally decided on the candidates for the People’s Deputies from single-member districts of Cherkasy region. The majority consists of the little-known candidates.
In addition, Vitaliy Ilyashenko, the Head of Cherkasy oblast organization of the UDAR party, mentioned that at the moment they are negotiating with the United opposition of Cherkasy region to agree on the candidates in majoritarian districts. “To achieve common victory we are ready to search for a compromise and to support some candidates from the United opposition in the majoritarian districts, if in other districts they will support us. Unfortunately, little time left till August 1, when the X Congress of the UDAR party will take place. During the Congress our candidates will be officially nominated,” – emphasized the speaker.

OPORA observers will work in all 225 electoral districts, and 3,500 activists will join them on the voting day. Organization will use the latest means of spreading information about observation results, including infographics and interactive maps.
